Welcome to RVCC
We appreciate your interest in who we are and what we are doing. We hope
the following information is useful. We are readily available to help you in any
way we can.
_______________
People appreciate the friendliness and love that are shown at River
Valley. And while there is a strong family atmosphere here, we are committed
to continued growth both relationally and numerically. Our congregation is
made up of those from various denominational and religious backgrounds, as
well as those who are new in their Christian faith. This tremendous diversity
has created an environment that is stayed on foundational doctrines, and is
readily open to ministry and outreach.
We are committed to prayer, the Word of God, and creating teaching
environments that challenge personal growth and equip the flock for further
ministry and outreach. We are also attentive to ever-expanding ministry
opportunities that better feed and equip the flock, as well as strengthen our
outreach and influence in the community with the Gospel.
Our facility is located on M-37 just outside of town. It is highly visible and
easily accessible. Our education wing, coffee café, and enclosed playground
demonstrate our commitment to encourage and support friendships and
families.
**Doctrine, balance in ministry, diversity of our congregation, and our
unique Sunday Morning worship (including coffee café, family
praise/prayer, & teaching times), make us distinct and significantly
positioned to meet the increasing spiritual needs in this community.

Newaygo is a small community about 30 miles north of Grand Rapids. It’s
located on the Muskegon River with many outdoor recreational activities.
The population is about 2,400. Because of it’s proximity to Grand Rapids and
the recreational opportunities, there continues to be substantial growth in
both new families and businesses moving into the community. The city and
community have been very progressive in welcoming this growth including
improvements to the parks, schools, and renovations to downtown. Farming
and recreation are the two primary economic resources for Newaygo County,
but a substantial part of the area commutes to Grand Rapids for work. All of
these are significant factors in the increasing outreach and influence
potential RVCC has in this community.
